Miami-Dade County, Florida
August 2024 – May 2025
Reason for Engagement
Frost Science launched its 10-year Master Planning process with a strong commitment to deepening its connection to the community and ensuring that its next strategic vision reflects the needs, priorities, and lived experiences of Miami-Dade County residents. Building on its longstanding reputation as a leader in STEM education and programming, the museum sought to expand its community engagement efforts and embed public voice more intentionally into its long-term planning.
To advance this goal, Frost Science partnered with LM Genuine Solutions to design and lead a countywide community listening process. The initiative established a structured, inclusive, and dynamic framework for understanding how residents of all backgrounds experience the museum—and for identifying new opportunities to strengthen its relevance, accessibility, and civic leadership.

Our Approach
Discovery & Planning
LMGS collaborated with Frost leadership to define priorities and establish the foundation for engagement. This included reviewing internal field research, identifying key stakeholder groups, and developing a multilingual outreach strategy. A tailored listening session model was designed to reflect local context, audience needs, and the museum’s mission.
Strategy & Design
Listening sessions were developed with customized agendas, multilingual materials, and engaging activities, including “Frost Science Experiences” co-designed with the museum’s education team. Facilitation and logistics planning prioritized accessibility, cultural responsiveness, and geographic coverage across all 13 county districts.
Collaboration
Sessions were planned in partnership with local elected officials, schools, and community-based organizations. LMGS coordinated closely with Frost staff to co-host sessions and integrate internal input throughout the process.
