LM Genuine Solutions (LMGS) was founded on the fundamental concept that great ideas and great leaders must unite to solve the challenges within their communities. LMGS is a strategic management and business-consulting firm, specializing in serving the needs of governmental, educational, non-profit, and private sector entities. LMGS is creating exponential impact across sectors and has a commitment to continue evolving and assisting leaders to improve their own communities, ultimately making successful change and progress in a rapidly changing world.

Our Company History
Throughout her career, Ms. Martinez learned that authentic sustainable solutions and innovations succeeded because of diverse and inclusive thought and collaboration. It also became noticeably clear that no matter how complex the problem, the solutions boiled down to people – people working together. The work of the future requires people and systems to work together, to align goals, to collaborate. It was time to use all the learning and professional experiences collected over almost three decades to make a larger impact in her community and beyond. She envisioned a business model that implements a systems-level theory of action rooted in local community realization.
On June 25, 2018, LM Genuine Solutions (LMGS) was officially established. LMGS would serve as a “bridge builder” that finds commonality and connects people and institutions with aligned goals. A firm that could envision solutions, develop strategy and deliver effectively on execution. Ms. Martinez soon found herself leading efforts in different sectors that needed support to build collaborative solutions. Word began to spread about LMGS and the strategic and customized services that were being offered. Without advertising, clients began seeking the contributions of LMGS.
Over the next four years, LMGS began to have the impact in the community that Ms. Martinez had envisioned including the creation of the South Florida Anchor Alliance and its Regional Marketplace, the expansion of Together for Children, and the development and implementation of the countywide Future Bound Miami Children Savings Account program. In 2021, LMGS attended the groundbreaking of Southside Preparatory/Brickell Solutions Project which included a new school in the heart of downtown Miami and affordable housing for the school district’s workforce. This unique, first-of-its-kind public private partnership’s negotiations were led by LMGS and included collaboration between Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami-Dade County’s Public Housing and Community Development Department, and the Related Urban Development Group.

Lisa Martinez

Ms. Martinez has been actively engaged in the work of education and community building for over 25 years. She is a systems connector and is dedicated to uplifting communities and making successful change and progress to better the community. Ms. Martinez began her career as a teacher and developed a non-profit organization to support vulnerable youth. The success of that program led her to become the City of Miami Mayors’ Director of Policy and Legislation. After four years, she joined the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Grants at Miami-Dade County Public Schools and later served as Chief Strategy Officer. In 2018, Ms. Martinez established LM Genuine Solutions to use all of her previous experiences and knowledge to specialize in strategic management and business-consulting firm, specializing in serving the needs of government, education, non-profit, and private sector entities. LMGS continues to grow and expand to work with clients that have missions that align with the principles and values that Ms. Martinez has established.

Juan Ramirez, a Miami native and University of Central Florida alumnus, is the Operations Director at LM Genuine Solutions, where he focuses on maintaining functional and consistent operations within the company. With attention to detail and a strategic mindset, Juan handles client and subcontractor invoicing, ensuring accurate financial transactions. In his role, Juan also serves as a liaison between the CEO and subcontractors, fostering effective communication and collaboration. His ability to navigate relationships and mediate between stakeholders makes him a valuable part of the company’s leadership team.
Juan works closely with the CEO in the implementation of LMGS’ business development strategy and is responsible for actively searching for opportunities for company growth and strategic development. This proactive approach aligns with his dedication to contributing to the company’s success. Beyond his operational duties, Juan leads talent acquisition and management, conducting interviews and overseeing the onboarding process for new team members. With a focus on contributing to the company’s success, Juan Ramirez plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations at LM Genuine Solutions.

Sara Wilkins
Administrative Assistant/Project Associate
Sara Wilkins, a multifaceted professional with a foundation in communication, education, and project management, serves as the Project Associate/Administrative Assistant at LM Genuine Solutions. In this role, Sara supports the CEO with client and stakeholder meetings and aids in the planning and implementation of projects and data analysis as required.
Earning an undergraduate degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Education, Sara honed her critical thinking and communication abilities, gaining an acute understanding of diverse perspectives and refining her analytical skills to address complex challenges. This foundation inspired her five-year dedication to educational justice and equity, advocating for and teaching underprivileged students at Title I schools. Subsequently transitioning into project management, Sara took on roles in both the private and nonprofits sectors leveraging her communication and leadership skills to significantly impact operational efficiencies, channeling her energy into setting ambitious goals and realizing visions of transformation.

Michelle Etienne, a dedicated public health strategist with a foundation in healthcare and project management, serves as a Project Associate at LM Genuine Solutions. In this role, Michelle collaborates closely with the CEO to support client engagements, ensuring effective project execution and the smooth coordination of client and stakeholder meetings.
Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and is currently a Doctor of Public Health (DrPh) candidate, having completed all but her dissertation (ABD) in Health Policy and Leadership. With over a decade of experience advancing federal health initiatives, she has honed her skills in data-driven solutions, and operational improvement. Her work with federal agencies has reinforced her ability to drive project efficiency and ensure compliance. Her passion for public health and strategic project management enables her to help LM Genuine Solutions deliver impactful, sustainable solutions for its clients.
Lisa Martinez

Lisa Martinez, Founder and CEO of LM Genuine Solutions (LMGS), is a Miami native who began her career as an elementary school teacher. During her 10 years in the classroom, problem-solving skills emerged as a necessity and her strength. She sought out ways to bridge gaps, not just with student learning, but with critical partners to education. In 2002, she developed a non-profit organization, the Positive Partnerships Program, focused on supporting vulnerable youth and connecting them to resources and opportunities in their local community.
With the success of this innovative work, she was recruited to join the City of Miami Mayor’s Office to lead citywide education initiatives. Over four years, her responsibilities grew, and she led a comprehensive programmatic, policy, and legislative portfolio as the Mayor’s Director of Policy and Legislation. Ms. Martinez was then recruited by Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ leadership to spearhead efforts in Intergovernmental Affairs and Grants, as well as Human Resources, which evolved to a robust understanding of program development/management, grants, government relations, and community engagement. She successfully led districtwide programs, parent and stakeholder advocacy campaigns, funding strategies, policy development, and legislative work at all levels of government. Through this position, she developed a stronger understanding of the importance of systems collaboration.
Subsequently, she was recruited to join Miami-Dade County’s leadership team and oversaw the Departments of Cultural Affairs, Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, and the Miami-Dade Public Libraries. Later, she served as Chief Strategy Officer of Miami-Dade County Public Schools directly leading the development and management of the district’s 5-year strategic plan, assisting the Superintendent of Schools in creating, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives and overseeing the Office of Economic Opportunities. In these varied roles, she has consistently served the community by developing and leading the implementation of change and innovation across Miami-Dade County.
